Abyss Dive Center Bali is a French scuba diving school, located on Bali’s East coast, in Amed. We opened in November 2016 and since then we have been welcoming divers all year long to help them discover the unique underwater biodiversity of Bali. Diving in Amed is a must-do when coming to Bali!
We traveled the world to find the perfect place to establish our dive school. And it’s in Amed that we found the absolute underwater heaven.
The richness of the surrounding dive sites, from the most famous shipwreck in Indonesia, the U.S.A.T Liberty, to Amed’s Coral Garden, Bunutan, and the Pyramids dive sites, will enrapture all divers, beginners or experienced. Abyss will adapt to your desires and needs, whether you are coming to do muck dives, drift dives, or wreck dives. We also offer Discover Scuba Dives from the beach, technical dives, and night dives!
A wide range of dive training options
Abyss Dive Center Bali is the only French scuba diving school in Amed. We partnered up with the French Federation of Underwater Activities (FFESSM) and with the National Association of Diving Instructors (ANMP). We offer European certifications, such as CMAS and CEDIP, that are internationally known. PADI instructors are also available here.
All our dives are done with Scubapro equipment and supervised by international scuba diving professionals instructors, which allows us to adapt to your diving capacities and dive in total safety.
Bali, the gem of the Lesser Sunda Islands, offers breathtaking dive sites. But it is not its only asset! In Amed, you will be able to experience the Balinese kindness, take part in traditional ceremonies, and discover local gastronomy while sharing some unique moments with the Balinese people.
Amed, the hotspot of Balinese diving, is located on the protected North-East coast of the island. Sheltered from the wind, the swell, and quite often from the rain, the climate is especially favorable to scuba diving. Here, you’ll dive in water temperature going from 26 to 31°C and visibilities going up to 40 meters.
