Info

Menjangan island or locally known as Deer island is located in the northwest corner of Bali as a part of the Taman National Bali Barat park. Many divers agree that the island has some of the healthiest, and most spectacular coral reefs and wall dives in Bali. The visibility of the water is generally excellent, and the weather conditions are mild, which makes the island suitable for all levels of divers and snorkelers. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT DURING YOUR MENJANGAN TRIP? Once you get aboard our ship, we’ll take you to the dive location. The journey there is just as pleasant as the dive itself. You’ll have a chance, during the journey and when we are eating together, to admire the ocean view and catch a glimpse of the green island itself. With the sun rising behind the trees and splashing on the water, you’ll know right then and there that this was a great decision to spend some quality time with the ocean. However, the true beauty of Menjangan Island is not above water but deep below, where the biodiversity is unique. Once you’re in the ocean, you’ll be overwhelmed by the unusual underwater structure and the coral wall that hides little fishes that pop up from behind the corals. If that’s not enough to impress you, there is a coral garden as well, which will provide you with a spectacular view. Moreover, there is also a nice underwater cave. WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO ON MENJANGAN ISLAND? Apart from diving and snorkelling, we would also recommend you to visit the Pura Segara Giri Dharma Kencana temple. The temple has an interesting history related to the holy journey of a Hindu priest called Dang Hyang Siddhimantra. According to local legends, Dang Hyang Siddhimantra was the one that separated Java and Bali, which before him were one big island. The name of the temple can be translated to a temple in the line and area of virtue. You can also visit Pura Gili Kencana, which is the signature monument of Menjangan island. The diving excursions to Menjangan are operated from Pemuteran. You can easily combine your diving stay with dives in Pemuteran or Menjangan
