Info
The second level of dive training with PADI is the Advanced Diver certification. The course consists of 5 Adventure dives on specific and valuable skills to improve your diving ability and confidence. The dives are a taster of further specialty diving qualifications, this course may open your horizons to find a whole different area of diving that you want to explore.
We generally conduct all 5 dives over 2 or 3 days, there are also knowledge reviews to complete for each Adventure dive – either manual or PADI eLearning are available for this. Mandatory for the full qualification are the Deep dive (18 – 30 meters) and Underwater Navigation, building on the basics you learnt in your Open Water Course. You then choose 3 more from the list of 20 or so listed in the PADI Adventures in Diving manual. Choose carefully! Our recommendation is to do something that you cannot do by yourself – or something that will develop you as a diver.
Due to our location there are some Adventures which are not practical or possible here; we don’t have any caves, and the water temperature is a balmy 28-30°C so you will not find ice here. On the contrary, we have some great underwater night life, specifically fantastic macro.
You do not have to complete the entire course, we can take you through selected individual underwater Adventures and log these as contributions towards the Advanced certification.
