Amuk bay in Candi dasa offers some of the best dive sites in Bali.
- It has three volcanic islands with numerous dive sites and a Jetty. The islands offer some challenging dives for experienced divers, from deep walls, swim-throughs, and shark caves to stunning coral reefs. It is the perfect place to see big fish like reef sharks and mola mola, and also lots of tropical fish and turtles. On the other hand, the Jetty is an easy muck dive, perfect for macro lovers, where you can see the strangest creatures underwater, such as many different species of ghost pipefish, seahorse, and frogfish. All the dive sites in Candidasa area can be reached in a few minutes by boat.
Diving Padangbai.
- It is a small fishing village that offers easy and also relaxed diving in its small and cozy bays. In fact, we can reach it by jukung, in other words, a traditional Balinese boat, in less than 20 minutes.
Scuba diving Tulamben.
- The small fishing village of Tulamben is famous in the diving community thanks to the USAT Liberty Wreck. In truth, it offers very easy and relaxed dives with amazing marine life and also super healthy corals.
Diving Amed
- Amed is a little fisherman village in North East Bali. It takes 45 minutes to drive from our dive shop. Amed is famous not only for its excellent dive sites but also for its continued use of traditional sea-salt extraction methods.
- Up until 1997, reefs in Jemeluk Bay were the super healthiest and top, totally covered with hard coral, barrel sponges, and also gorgonians. But, due to the effect of El Niño in 1998, the bay suffered coral bleaching and loss of marine life. To help the reef recover, divers set artificial reefs along the coast. The success of these reefs is evident today. In fact, they are covered with corals and are home to a great variety of macro life. For example, reef fish, rays, and hock bill turtles. In the blue, you also have the chance to see white tip sharks, blacktip sharks, big groupers, jackfish, tunas, clownfish, and eagle rays.
- Because it is located in a protected bay, this spot is ideal for beginners and experienced divers alike.
