PADI - Open Water Diver

The pool dives and theory lessons are designed to teach you all the skills and theoretical knowledge you need to dive safely. During the subsequent open water dives you show that you have mastered and can apply all skills. The theory part is concluded with an exam, for the practical part you learn to master and that no exam is taken. Depending on the schedule, the course lasts 3 – 4 days. Before you can participate in the course, you must meet a number of simple requirements: You must be in good health. It is not necessary to be examined by a doctor, but you must fill in a medical statement. If anything results from this, you can most likely still dive, but you must undergo a sports inspection. You must be at least 12 years old. If you are under 15 years old, one of your parents must already be diving or taking the course. You must be able to swim at the level of the A diploma. That is, you must be able to swim 175 meters continuously and tread water for 10 minutes. A diploma is not required.
